For the shows 5th season of Game Of Thrones, we orchestrated a series of stunts that allowed fans to witness the fantasy world of Westeros bleeding into the real world of Northern Ireland. The stunts themselves happened in the real world, but the campaign’s true home was online as fans on the ground spread the word across social media.
Initially during season 4 of the show, we initiated and launched the partnership between Tourism Ireland and HBO on Twitter with a series of online tourism posters. We used photography of the Northern Irish Game Of Thrones filming locations, combined with headlines alluding to the themes of the show to invite fans to visit Northern Irelands shores.
